United Women in Faith is a sisterhood acting in faith to tackle the hard work of the world without hesitation.
Driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood, we work to improve the lives of women, children and youth. Every day, we show up. We take action. We get it done. And we invite you to join us.
Our UWF President, Elsie, would love to have you join the women of the North Manchester UMC as we fellowship together.
OPEN TO ANY WOMAN. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BELONG TO OUR CHURCH TO JOIN
Membership is for those women who wish to organize for mission through giving, prayer, study, action and service. Meetings include opportunities for worship, fellowship and programs that encourage women to grow in their faith and understanding of the world.
United Women in Faith (UWF) meet in small groups called circles. At the present time there are two circles: Evening Circle and Faith Circle. There are also women who belong as Members at Large.
In addition to the circle meetings, other meetings are held throughout the year:
Our members are avid readers and participate in the UWF Reading Program which offers the opportunity to deepen spiritually and to broaden understanding of mission.. Information is available and our church library is well stocked with books and magazines on the reading list.
The Evening Circle meets the third Monday of every month at 7:00 PM. in the church's Felowship Hall unless otherwise noted. The purpose of the Evening Circle is to fellowship and share about God's Love in our lives. This circle has a mission of prayer for others and supports missions within and outside the walls of our church. Different members present a program and each meetings has a hostess.
We also provide food for one of the Fellowship of Churches community meals, deliver flowers to shut-ins, and have a Christmas soup and dessert supper.
The Faith Circle lives up to their name, as they study and fellowship on the first Tuesday of each month, April through November. They meet at 1:30 PM, in the Church's Fellowship Hall. UMW members take turns providing the lesson or program for these charming, interesting and inquisitive women.
